Installation and Configuration Test

The stability and quality of system installation and configuration must be always maintained in every release. If a system released to end users fails installation because of any reason, the system is dead on arrival. There are many causes that could cause an installation failure including upgrade paths, version dependencies, and environment requirements. Therefore, software providers take installation test very seriously.

3Nexus will ensure complete test and verification of all possible upgrade paths or third-party package dependencies. Our installation path and dependency matrix developed for your specific product lines provide up-to-date information for seamless verification every time you release a new version of your software product.

Installation and configuration tests often require different hardware, operating systems, browsers, etc. Most of the time, 3Nexus onshore and offshore test labs will accommodate your needs instantly. We also test on our clients’ servers remotely. If you have special needs for special hardware and environment, we will work with you to setup a dedicated lab for your needs.

Functional and Regression Test

Performing functional tests while developing an application helps software providers reduce cost by simultaneously identifying and fixing issues early in the process. When the software is stable, functional and regression tests ratify the application functions for conformity to technical and business specifications. To ensure no bugs are introduced in a software component for each release, 3Nexus performs regression tests for multiple integrated components.

3Nexus uses a combination of manual and automated tests. If your system is in a development stage, we recommend manual tests to discover issues, compare results obtained previously, and/or adjust test cases as we go. If your system is in operation and maintenance (O&M) stage, we recommend adding automation tests. With automation testing, we could run thousands of test cases to verify your entire complex systems in a determined time frame and enable you to meet your O&M release SLA.

Our software test engineers will manually verify or isolate issues reported by the initial test results. From the isolation test results, we can tell you whether the issue is an old issue or newly introduced issue. This helps you to make decision about the priority or schedule to fix the issue.
